The first annual Young Adult’s Campout took place last weekend at Nicola Lake in Merrit. As the weekend approached, Merrit’s forecasted thunder showers were slightly intimidating but the young adults were determined to have a great weekend - rain or shine.
Several Willoughbyte’s, as well as a few visitors, packed into vehicles arriving just prior to the start of the rain. The weekend was spent around the fire, under tarps and in collapsing tents but we still managed to have a lot of fun, bonding over games, food, the explorer and bocce ball. We’re already excited for next year, where we hope to see several more young adults join the adventure!
