Willoughby Kids give BEST Gifts Ever

BEST gifts ever? How about a calf, a duck and a bunch - 13 to be exact - of chickens? That's what the children who participate in our Sunday morning SONLiFE program were able to buy from the World Renew Best Gift Catalogue this past Christmas for someone living in poverty and hunger. Each Sunday through the months of November and December (2016), the children brought loonies and toonies, nickels and dimes - a total of  $140 - to give toward the project. Then together on the last Sunday of December they decided which gift(s) they wanted to buy.  This is just another way in which our children come to understand what it means be generous and compassionate for those who live with much less than us.
