Dear friends at Willoughby Christian Reformed Church,
Ever since several congregations joined in 1857 and decided that they could do more together than they could on their own, ministry shares have been a crucial part of the denomination we call the Christian Reformed Church in North America.
On the one hand, ministry shares are a symbol of our covenant relationship. While each of us may not be in need of all of the services of CRCNA ministries all of the time, ministry shares make it possible for any congregation, of any size, to access the support they need, whenever they need it, without having to worry about costs. They are one way that we, as the body of Christ, show our commitment to each other.
On the other hand, ministry shares are also a way that we fulfill the Great Commission. Our pooled resources mean that we can extend the gospel around the world, train up the next generation of pastors and missionaries, and even provide scholarships to students attending Reformed undergraduate institutions. These are things that we couldn’t do as well, or as much of, if we were each working independently.
The ministries of the CRCNA wanted to take a moment to say thank you to you and your congregation for the role you play in this important program. Please show this video during your worship service, share it on social media, or find another way to pass it along to the members of your church.
Thank you!
