On Thursday, May 10, twenty seniors carpooled and braved the traffic to visit the VanDusen Botanical Gardens on Oak Street in Vancouver. It was a most enjoyable day starting with refreshments; the weather was perfect. If there were not as many flowers and shrubs blooming as had been hoped for, the fellowship during the one and half hour leisurely stroll through the garden more than made up for it. An excellent lunch served in the Shaughnessy Restaurant was a fitting and relaxing end to an absolute great and fun day.
