Join SONLiFE and Covenant Kids Daycare in giving to the School Kits project sponsored by the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC). School Kits are given to refugees and displaced children around the world, helping students and teachers add some normalcy to disrupted lives. Notebooks and pencils become treasures to families who struggle to afford basic school supplies. School Kits, frequently requested after natural disasters, are sent to places such as Iraq, Haiti, Honduras, Nepal, Jordan, Ukraine and to poorly funded schools in Canada and the United States.
School Kits include the following supplies:
- 4 spiral notebooks or notebooks with perforations
- 4 unsharpened #2 pencils
- 1 ruler (flexible plastic indicating both 30 cm and 12")
- 1 box of coloured pencils (12 - 24)
- 1 large pencil eraser
Donations will be gratefully accepted until Sunday, September 25th - please limit your generosity to the items on the list.
