Educating for Complexity, Change, Uncertainty, and Resilience: Lessons from a PandemicMonday, Nov. 9, 2020 7:00 – 8:30 pm via zoom. Join Dr. Peter Mahaffy, Chemistry professor at The King’s University for conversation re-examining education in the face of a pandemic. Many educators have reflected on how to teach and learn online or in hybrid modes, but there has been much less deep reflection on what we teach and learn, especially in light of the massive disruptions caused by the pandemic.  Should we “get back to normal” as quickly as we can once a vaccine is widely implemented, or are there fundamental ways we should re-examine education to better equip students for resilience and thriving in the midst of uncertainty, fear, complexity, and change?  This lecture will draw on and extend reflection on these questions in the domain of science education. Click here for more information and to register

World Renew is committed to a longer-term response of providing food vouchers, hygiene kits, COVID-19 informational leaflets, and winterization supplies (blankets, warm clothes, stoves, and fuel) to vulnerable families. Pray for our Lebanese brothers and sisters. Want to stay update?
