The churches of Langley joined together to worship God starting the year with a symphony of praise. Well.. there was music and it was loud and refreshing. The children’s story taught us we can see God everywhere even in people we don’t know. And we danced in the isles. OK some people did but I know a guy who raised his hand, though he kept the other firmly attached to a chair. Then a brief sermon: it was clear and singular. One man Jesus has one message with one mission in mind for all of us. We learned that our differences don’t matter but out unity does. As we worshipped I imagined God, a smile tugging at his lips, musing “Ah my children can get it together.”
