Jim and Chris Vreugdenhil recently returned from Africa on assignment with SIM (Serving In Missions) and EduDeo Ministries (formerly Worldwide Christian Schools). They spent 9 weeks this summer in Niger, Benin, and Zambia, three very different countries in Africa.
Their mission:

To explore with teachers the vision of Christian education, particularly in Zambia where they hope to start a program of teacher training in Christian education;

To help teachers come to grips with the Christian perspective on various subject areas;

To enable teachers to grow in their understanding of Christian education and how to put that into practice in their classrooms;

To stimulate teachers to develop a broader range of teaching strategies;

To mentor national teacher-leaders in their training of other teachers.
All of this work is to provide Christian schooling to the next generation of God’s children in these countries.
