Following the brutal civil war in Sierra Leone (’02), Sierra Leonean Christians came together to establish the Christian Reformed Church in Sierra Leone (CRC-SL)which has spread throughout the country, especially in the south. The CRC-SL now consists of more than 5,500 believers and 62 congregations that are increasingly organizing and functioning as a denomination. Because of this rapid growth, there is a great need for gifted and spiritually mature leaders to guide and disciple the church forward. Resonate, the CRCNA, and the CRC-SL have committed to working together to build up Sierra Leonean leaders. Rev. Bahago, the Leadership Consultant of the Christian Reformed Church in Sierra Leone, is leading these efforts by mentoring and training church leaders. Willoughby Church serves as a partner in this work.
