Despite a steady Vancouver downpour, this year's GEMS Camp at Timberline Ranch was another great success! The fun was shared with the Fleetwood Christian Reformed Church GEMS Club, as we enjoyed the brand new "Western Town" cabins. Horseback riding was the highlight, as always! The abundance of free time in between activities allowed girls from both churches to bond together as they took shelter from the rain and shared activities and games in each others' cabins.
Mealtime devotions were led by the various counsellors. Thanks to Ellie Boersma from Fleetwood for coming out to lead our Saturday night singing with her guitar and smile. Our Sunday morning interactive worship was led by two of our counsellors and the grade 7 girls. A group photograph rounded up the weekend before "crazy hair" lunch and pickup by parents. The girls showed amazing spirit and great attitudes; their participation and interaction were a tribute to the Creator of these "Gems".
