Alpha is a series of sessions exploring life, faith, and meaning. It’s a space to explore the big questions, to say what you think, and to hear other people’s points of view. Each talk explores a different aspect of the Christian faith, and then in the discussion group you get to say exactly what you think. The aim of the talk is to spark conversation, each week unpacking a different question. There’s no obligation to say anything, and there’s nothing you can’t say. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly, and open environment.
No matter where you’re at in your spiritual journey, Alpha is a great course for anyone wanting to go deeper in their understanding of faith. If you’re new to our church and wondering about the basic questions of Christianity, or if you’re a seasoned Christian who would like to dig deeper into discipleship, please join!
Length of Course: 11 weeks
Dates: Thursdays evenings, Sept. 17 - Nov. 26, and Saturday morning, October 31 (normally this is a full weekend event).
Times: 7:00-8:30 pm on Thursdays, 9-12 on the Saturday
All sessions will be run online via Zoom. If you’re unable to attend 1 or 2 of the events, that’s okay. Just mention it in the form.
There’s also never been a better time to invite someone to Alpha. More people than ever are asking big questions, and Alpha statistics are showing that more people are comfortable joining an online course. This is the perfect space to invite a friend who may be curious or skeptical about the Christian faith and desiring to learn more.
Sessions will include topics such as: Is There More to Life than This? Who is Jesus? Why Did He Die? How Can I Have Faith? Why and How Should I Read the Bible? What does the Holy Spirit Do? Why and How Should I Tell Others? Does God Still Heal Today? What About the Church?
