Get Ready!
Preparations are underway for our 3rd annual special bicycle event on the trails around Lost Lake in Whistler! The boys will spend the weekend outdoors and staying overnight in the loft of a rustic cabin near the village (8613 Drifter Way).
The cost for the entire weekend is $35 per Cadet. This includes meals, transportation and accomodations.
We will meet at the church at 6pm on Friday, September 19, where we will collect permission forms, break into car groups and load the bicycles and gear. We expect to return to the church sometime around 5pm on Sunday, September 21.
On Saturday, if the weather is very wet, instead of cycling, we will visit the local recreation center. On Sunday we hope to cycle to the local community church for worship. Following worship, we will return home.
Past years have shown that an adult:boy ratio of approximately 1:3 works best for this outing. Dads, let us know if you are able to come along on this trip. Available for download below is a Consent and Acknowledgement of Risk Form. Boys who wish to participate in this event must have it completed.
Please note, kids will not be allowed to participate without bike helmets!
Please ensure that your boy(s) brings the following:
- completed permission form
- bag lunch for the first day
- bicycle
- helmet
- complete change of clothes
- toiletries
- sleeping bag
- pillow
- swimsuit
- towel
